More Heritage Day happiness. Boitemelo was my cashier early this morning when I bought the apples and biscuits for our park day.
She was at a cash only till so I counted up how much my total was to make sure I could check out at her till.

Today has been a beautiful shwe shwe day with many people - men and women- wearing traditional outfits as part of Heritage Day tomorrow.
Keletso was at the woolies on Jan Smuts and her colleague and I both commented on her gorgeous dress.
Keletso's family are from the Eastern Cape and someone in her family made the dress. I love the ruffle on the neck

Jeanette just walked past my house to show me this dress and tell me her grandchildren will be performing at a community event for Heritage Day next week.
Jeanette made this dress, we chatted about the decorative stitching on it. Jeanette apparently has two sewing machines, a basic one in Brixton and another at her traditional home that can do elaborative stitching.
