Brixton Babes

Our local Brixton community forum recently got Jeanette (who has featured on this blog twice before) to make up a batch of baby grows that say Brixton Babe on them, with the I of Brixton looking like our iconic local tower.
These we drop off for new babies born in the suburb to welcome them to our caring community.

Phumzile

Phumzile works at the NGO that  I recently joined and she came in on Friday in this gorgeous yellow and brown ensemble.

Later in the day when I got to ask Phumi about her outfit and the story behind it I was not dissapointed - there is always a lovely story behind shwe shwe .  The skirt used to belong to her mother - who had id made for  a special function at her church.

 I love the flower on the skirt, as the yellow and brown headscarf Phumzile put on was alrady making me think happy bee thoughts.
