A community market has recently been added to our monthyl park day . Various of the stalls had lovely shwe shwe items, ranging from glasses holders and bags to bunting themed cards.

Gladys - Newcastle
My new job takes me to interesting places - like the Department of Social Developement buildings outside of Newcastle. I saw this lady in her lovley dress at the beginning of the morning session and she was still waiting to be seen later in the afternoon when we took a break. I asked her if I could photograph her dress and when she said yes I rushed back to the meetig venue to get my camera. Gladys was quite shy ( and waiting in a governemtn building, so a bit bewildered) so we could not get too much conversation going.
She did ask if I wanted the little elf on her lap in the picture or not, and I was very happy to have her along.
When I have my thoughts together about the fake shwe shwe materials that are currently all over - especialy in little dusty towns I will post a long monologue on that.
But for now her is a very pretty lady, still composed and pretty after waiting all day for services in a pretty shwe shwe dress.

Received these most amazing shwe shwe fridge magnets from my friend Martine for my birthday. This is the lovley thing about birthdays and friends that know you well. The most amazing delights emerge.

These are made by A is for Africa and and they also have a stunning range of animal magnets too. After looking at their website I think I want them in every colour.
