As a build up to the World Cup Soccer we have
Football Fridays where people are encouraged to wear soccer supporter shirts to work.
In our little road of Brixton we have FoodBall Fridays and we bake something soccer related every Friday. Its an excercise in following instructions and measuring fir the kids as well as a treat.
So far we have made cupcakes with soccer shirt jellies on them, chocolate soccer moulds, cupcakes that look like soocer balls with piped icing and Bafana Bafana ginger bread men.
My stock of Shwe shwe Madiba aprons come in handy and most children get to put one one. Danile is most fond of this orange on with Madiba and insists on it every Friday.
I think we have tried every possible cupcake variation so I will have to think of a different kind of food to make this coming Friday that the kids can do and enjoy.
