My twin nephew and niece have often been the victimsrecipients of my sewing crazes and last time I made a dress for my niece, who was 5 1/2 at the time, she thanked me sweetly and then pulled me aside and said ' Aunty Ann, next time can you also sew something for my brother too'.
Boys are not as easy to sew for, but after sewing the gorgeous skirts on Kuna in the same fabric that I had at home I decided to try my hand at a pair of shorts for boys. The shorts took about two hours and then figuring out the pockets took two days ( well actually the time before and after work for two days) as they have an insert that I did in blue shwe shwe.
The t-shirts were left over white ones from the Tie-dye we did with the children in my own neighbourhood as part of the Community Park Day, and when I found two still in the bag in the right size I thought of ways to make t-shirts to go with the skirt and shorts.
I love the way the soccer ball turned out and think I will make many more of those for Football Fridays and for my outfit to the Opening Match of the Soccer World Cup in only a few months time. Now thats Ayoba !

Wow, what a joy it is to see my product come to life! I love the boys version as well, your nephew will enjoy the boy's range we are launching in April!! Coincidence, we have just launched purple some heart trim spaghetti strap tops with Shwe Shwe beaded hearts, and matching pink Shwe Shwe skirts... shows great minds thing alike right!
